Leaked Xbox 720 documents to be taken down at request of Microsoft’s lawyers
By: ShadowKingpin
With the recent leak of possible Xbox 720 documents, Microsoft’s lawyers are finally stepping in.
Just a few days ago, a 56 page document with the price detail, tech specs, and much more of the Xbox 720 were leaked online. At the time they were only rumor and speculation, but a move by Microsoft just turned that rumor into a reality.
Microsoft’s lawyer firm, Covington & Burling LLP, has just requested that Scribd.com remove the documents immediately from their website. This move is normally made when something real is leaked, so it’s pretty safe to say that those documents were actually real.
Personally, Microsoft’s best move to make on this situation is finally announcing it. It would kill a lot of the hype for those documents and take some of the pain away from the leak. We’ll just have to wait and see tomorrow at Microsoft’s ‘Major’ Announcement.

Why do they even bother to do that? It´s still available on other sources and this kind of confirms it. I don´t get it.

It boggles my mind as well. People always end up forgetting the rumors later one when everyone just doesn’t say anything about the matter, but when you bring your lawyers into it, that shows truth to the rumors. Bad move on Microsoft’s part.

Just like with Bethesda Lawyers, they obviously don’t know anything about the internet.

At least now I know there is a document worth checking out – maybe I should complain less about stupid lawyers in the future.
